Gammon Theological Seminary celebrates women! We are happy to have Bishop Sharma Lewis as a Board of Trustee Member. Bishop Sharma Lewis became a trailblazer as the first African-American woman elected bishop in the Southeastern Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church in 2016. By the way, Bishop Sharma Lewis is a graduate of Gammon Theological Seminary!
I encourage you to view the documentary entitled “What Manner of Woman?” It is a short documentary about Womanist Theology and the importance of women serving in leadership roles in all aspects of religious life.
Servant leadership is a significant part of the educational experience at Gammon Theological Seminary for all students. Gammon Students are dedicated to the process of learning and willing to apply leadership in all aspects of their lives and communities. I am pleased to see impressive leadership traits, especially within student life. It is amazing for me to see Gammon students apply leadership in their student pastorates, church internships, student group membership, and other aspects of how they serve in our communities. God is moving and we are blessed! Have a fantastic month!
Grace and Peace,
