During my visit, Rev. Barriner informed me about several ways Gammon helped to prepare him for more than 25 years of full-time ministry. Rev. Barriner’s post-M.Div. career includes 14 years of campus ministry at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and pastoring several congregations within the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church.
The mutual admiration between Rev. Barriner and Simpson Memorial UMC was obvious to me during my brief visit with this very special congregation. Rev. Barriner’s pastoral leadership is one of many examples of graduates of Gammon Theological Seminary making a wonderful impact in our world.
Since 1883, Gammon Theological Seminary has been helping to prepare students to become distinguished graduates that display competent pastoral leadership within communities across the globe. I was recently reminded in Jacksonville, Florida that our world is a better place, because of Gammon.
Grace and Peace,
